What is “Techni-Color” about?

This blog seeks to bridge the disparate gap between today’s ever-changing technology and the disenfranchised population who may feel “left behind”.   This blog is dedicated to educate, inform and entertain adults and youngsters who would otherwise have no creative technological outlet to go to or a forum to voice their opinions.

These videos pertain to the “One Laptop Per Child” movement that has already spread internationally. What is amazing about this concept is how everyone involved, from sponsors, benefactors, philanthropists and IT professionals see the importance of supplying a laptop for children in Third World countries.

Leslie Stahl from 60 Minutes explains her piece about OLPC.

I think that the program One Laptop Per Child, is an excellent one, but what about students in the US? What about those students who live in situations where they cannot afford internet access, let alone a laptop. What do we do about them?

Hi Technicolor — nice site! I’m wondering where you teach, what you teach, things like that. I’m being nosy lol.

Very nice site!! Unfortunate that you had such an unpleasant experience in San Antonio. It seems to be a catch 22 situation because had you been more assertive you may have been perceived as pushy or aggressive-a common Black woman stereotype.
